Time to embrace the London Stadium!
I've been to The London Stadium and have to say i was underwhelmed to say the least as im sure many others were. Now we have to put those feelings behind us, there is no way back to Upton Park so like it or not this is our home. Lets embrace it and turn it into a cauldron of hostility where visiting players and fans fear to tread.

COME ON YOU FUCKING IRONS ⚒⚒⚒⚒

They could of done this if they carefully thought out what fans sit where rather than chuck anyone anywhere and just get the money in. It is all they care about.

Agree Dealcanvey but its done now. We are in a critical position there is absolutely no point in remonstrating now, we need to stop mourning anf get on with it.

Well that's Brady sorted soldo, but what about the stadium?

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
Yes we're stuck with it

But there is no connection with it at any level. It was so flat there yesterday the whole census amongst fans is just no-one can be arsed to go there and matters on the pitch are making it even worse.

Also like on the pitch there doesnt really seem to be many answers to fix it

The place was rocking when we went two nil up against Watford. I don't buy that the atmosphere is always going to be shit. The players just need to gee the crowd up now, not the other way around.

There's no arguing with the simple fact the OP mentions.

Whatever you think could have been better, reality is, we are there for the forseeable. Massive challenge, but it's only the fans who can do something about it.

Upton Park always had its imperfections, but when it mattered, nobody considered them.

The chelsea match will be the first occasion where we might (MIGHT) forget imperfections and instead focus on supporting the team with a bit of gusto, which will help to settle in.

Don't think I'll ever embrace what that place is about. It's a shithole.

However, if your point is that Saturday's game is huge and we need to recreate the atmosphere of old, I completely agree. Everyone standing and singing for 90 minutes.

Hopefully it'll piss off 20 thousand or so enough that they don't bother coming back as well.

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
So you'll have a 60,000 stadium with 40,000 in it?

Smart thinking as always Griff you fist.

Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
Better that than what is 'filling' it at present.

Grumpster 3:11 Mon Sep 26
Re: Time to embrace the London Stadium!
As ridiculous as it sounds, the new stadium hasn't just pissed people off, it's also partly killed their love of football, as that and the club doesn't resemble what people grew up loving and looking forward too.

Will never return now and so will eventually leave it all and be replaced by modern football fans, just the way it is.
